Indie band New York Tourists are playing a festival at Brockholes Nature Reserve near Samlesbury, on June 27th. The following week they play at one of the biggest concerts in Lancashire this summer, supporting Quo at Hoghton Tower on July 3, alongside Clitheroe band Good Foxy.

The band, including new father Gary Taylor; said: 'We are over the moon to announce that we are supporting the legendary Status Quo - this is massive gig and we are extremely proud to be on the bill.

Last month the lads had to pull out of their biggest date of the year so far - for the birth of the lead singer's baby daughter Iris.

The four-piece had been due to play Darwen Live, but we forced to cancel at the last minute when Jenny Cockerill-Taylor, Gary's wife, went into labour three weeks early.

Gary told us that he would to continue to tour and would juggle parenting and gigging. They warm up for the big one a week earlier at Cantina , which is a late-night street food fiesta at Brockholes Nature Reserve.
