Manchester's YES introduce new Support The Supports initiative with £1 off beers

YES, one of Manchester's most beloved independent music spots, have just announced an incredible new initiative to try and get more people in the venue to see the oft-missed, oft-excellent selection of support acts at their gigs in the Pink Room and Basement.

The initiative, going under the moniker Support The Supports, offers all early attendees £1 off drinks in the room while the support bands are on. Cheaper booze and new music... sign us up!

Such an initiative is a breath of fresh air in the live industry, and whilst for many of us, getting down to see the support is a natural part of the gig ritual, it is sadly not the case for many. Support bands are the headliners of tomorrow and getting as many eyes and ears on them as early on in their careers is only a positive thing that will help shape the future of those looking to climb the lineup ladder.
