A new daytime electronic music event is coming to Manchester this autumn, as Escapism makes its debut at the city’s iconic Victoria Baths on Saturday 10th October.
Created by Renaissance founder Geoff Oakes alongside founding partner Dez Derry, the new brand aims to combine world-class electronic music with unique venues and immersive production, offering a fresh alternative to the traditional club experience.
For its first event, Escapism will take over the Grade II-listed venue from 3:30 pm until 11:30 pm, transforming the historic former swimming baths into a multi-room dancefloor experience.
Leading the line-up is an extended four-hour set from legendary house and progressive duo Deep Dish. They’ll be joined by Balearic favourite Smokin Jo and Newcastle producer Pattn, with organisers promising further announcements in the lead-up to the event.
Beyond the music, attendees can expect street food vendors, specialist coffee, immersive installations and enhanced production throughout the venue. A second room will offer a contrasting atmosphere designed to encourage exploration across the site.
Escapism is also introducing a no-phones-on-the-dancefloor policy, with organisers hoping to create a more connected experience centred on the music and the crowd around it.
With limited capacity and one of Manchester’s most striking venues as its backdrop, the inaugural edition looks set to appeal to fans of underground electronic music and those who like to party but still get an early night.
Pre-sale tickets will be made available from 1 pm on Monday 8th June. Sign up now below for a reminder, and be the first in the queue to get yours.
