Manchester Village Pride has launched to deliver the upcoming 2026 edition as a community-led celebration. Pride 2026 will return from Friday 28th - Monday 31st August 2026.

Following the collapse of the previous Manchester Pride organisation in October, the fate of the annual celebrations were cast into doubt. LGBTQ+ Village businesses and community stakeholders have established the Manchester Village Pride Community Interest Company (MVP) to ensure the event’s future, and the organisation has received £120,000 in loans from Village venues. MVP is now led by a board of unpaid directors, and exists to serve a community rather than generate profit for shareholders. The organisation is working with and being supported by partners including Manchester City Council, Marketing Manchester, CityCo, Equity, and LGBTQ+, charities.

Proceeds from this year’s Pride will be used to support and work in partnership with established LGBTQ+ charities based across the Greater Manchester region, including George House Trust, The Albert Kennedy Trust, The Proud Trust, LGBT Foundation, and national transgender charity Sparkle. Following the 2026 re-build, MVP plans to develop a month of city-wide Pride activity and cultural programming from the 2027 edition onwards.

Manchester Village Pride 2026 will include a Community Showcase celebrating culture and grassroots voices on Sackville Gardens, a Main Stage comprising the city’s LGBTQ+ talent and a Pride Party spanning the Bank Holiday Weekend. Sign up for an Early Bird ticket below.
