Manc bass-heads Mukes bring Pubshroom back to the Derby Brewery Arms

Brace yourselves, Mancunian bass heads—Mukes are making a sporesome return to The Derby Brewery Arms this weekend! Their Pubshroom concept is set to take over two rooms, delivering high-energy, bass-fuelled mayhem while transforming the entire venue into a fungi-filled wonderland for an epic day-to-night rave this Valentine's weekend!

However, Valentine's is for couples, and Pubshroom is for pals. So make sure to bring the rave, not the romance!

The event is a return to roots for Manchester’s favourite DIY rave collective, paying homage to their first-ever event in a pub. But this time, they’re cultivating something special. With huge bassweight, surreal visuals, and a lineup to shake your very soul. If you like your nights loud, immersive, and dripping in low-end frequencies and DIY rave culture, then Pubshroom is your kind of party.

For those unfamiliar with Mukes (ancient Greek for “mushroom”), they’re the Manchester-born bass collective turning raves into something far more immersive than your standard club night. With a hands-on DIY ethos, they transform venues into trippy bass-heavy playgrounds, crafting handmade decorations and visuals inspired by their deep-rooted appreciation for nature and sound system culture. From free summer parties in Hulme Park to club takeovers across the city, they’ve built a reputation for throwing some of the most treasured underground events in the city.

For this edition of Pubshroom, they will be split across two rooms of pure vibes. Room One serves up Drum & Bass, UKG, and Breaks, with VERY special guest Rockwell leading the charge alongside a lineup of selectors, including Fav B, Rob NG, Binx, Sinda, Skarge, and CKRT. Room Two, The Dubstep Den, will see Dankashire Sounds, Senncoria, Jah-Tek, Absynth, and SENECA shake the foundations with deep, dark, and wobbling madness. 

Basically, the pub will be a surreal haven of mushrooms and fungi, with immersive decorations that will transport you to a world where the beats are as infectious as the spores.
