Lorde is set to play her first ever Bristol show this August. The New Zealander will headline a special outdoor concert on Friday 28th August 2026 on Clifton Downs as part of FORWARDS Presents, a prelude to the eponymous festival taking place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August.

An eclectic bill will be joining the New Zealander, including Djo, Audrey Hobert, Rose Gray, Esha Tewari and Grove. Lorde’s acclaimed fourth album, Virgin, produced by Jim E Stack, dropped last June and was followed by her ongoing Ultrasound World Tour, which is set to conclude in September. The tour’s UK and Ireland run saw Lorde play in Manchester, London, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Dublin, with occasional support from the likes of Stack, Blood Orange, Nilüfer Yanya, and The Japanese House

Tom Paine, co-founder of Bristol-based festivals and events company Team Love, said: “Announcing Lorde is an incredibly exciting moment for us. Building on the spirit of FORWARDS, we’re excited to bring Bristol another world-class musician and experience across the bank holiday weekend. Welcoming Lorde to the city feels like the perfect way to begin, she’s an extraordinary artist, and this promises to be a truly special night for Bristol.”

Jim King, the CEO of AEG Presents UK & European Festivals, added: “We’re thrilled to announce Lorde’s headline performance in Bristol.  She's an incredible artist and we can’t wait to share this moment with fans ahead of another unforgettable FORWARDS festival weekend."
