Kneecap are heading straight for the "belly of the beast". The Belfast rap trio have just announced their biggest ever headline show outside of Ireland, taking over OVO Wembley Arena on Thursday 18th September 2025 - with tickets on general sale this Friday at 10am, with a pre-sale hitting their WhatsApp channel on Wednesday.
The announcement comes just weeks after the group headlined London’s Wide Awake Festival, following a no-issues warm-up show at the 100 Club. Known for their sharp-tongued bilingual lyricism and incendiary live shows, Kneecap’s presence in London has sparked both cultural celebration and political controversy.
The news also follows a turbulent few months for the group, after Mo Chara was charged by London’s Metropolitan Police for allegedly “displaying a flag in support of proscribed organisation Hezbollah” during their O2 Forum Kentish Town show in November 2024. Amid a wave of cancelled UK shows that followed - including TRNSMT and the Eden Project - this Wembley date lands with serious weight.
In response to the charge, Kneecap shared a statement via Instagram:
"We deny this ‘offense’ and will vehemently defend ourselves.
"This is political policing. This is a carnival of distraction.
"14,000 babies are about to die of starvation in Gaza, with food sent by the world sitting on the other side of a wall, and once again the British establishment is focused on us.
"We are on the right side of history. You are not. We will fight you in court. We will win."
Whether you see them as disruptors, truth-tellers, or simply one of the best live acts around, this Wembley date marks a massive moment for Kneecap - and a London headline show that won’t go quietly.
