Cultured Manchester nightspot Joshua Brooks has the festive season wrapped up with an abundance of live shows spread across the electronic spectrum to get your teeth stuck into during the December party season .
Blaring out of their newly installed sound system on Saturday 6th December is Space Dimension Controller pulling the strings for Transmission. Having built a stern reputation for conducting scintillating live shows and DJ sets that combine disco, funk, house and techno, Space Dimension Controller is not one to be missed. Moving onto Saturday 13th December, Robert Hood (check him in the Boiler Room below) fills the rave space with three hours of stripped back Detroit techno. It's not too often that you'll experience Hood command a confined setting of Joshua Brooks' size with his inventory of minimal beats, never mind for such an extended period time, so as you can imagine this one will be pretty special. Meat Free round off a magnificent year after welcoming the likes of Legowelt, Youandewan and Tama Sumo to their club night by throwing a xmas extravaganza on Friday 19th December. Their talented residents who've consistently pulled in a mass following throughout the year soundtrack the night that'll be filled with hordes of props and plenty of glitter. Bag your tickets here.
Making its inaugural bow in the brick basement is Grey Area on Saturday 20th December, a club night solely focused on bringing tip top techno to the city. Monoloc (above) flys in from Frankfurt with his bag of dark minimal techno, a notorious German blend that's hard to come by outside of it's Berlin stronghold.
