With enigmatic techno, house and disco heavyweights such as Blawan, Prosumer, Hunee and Greg Wilson stopping off at Hidden for recent events, it's no surprise the club has rapidly become one of the most talked about hotspots in town. And it was set to cement its reputation even further, with a debut from Parisian vinyl enthusiast Jeremy Underground.

The space really does live up to its name, the rave haunt literally 'hidden' away on the outskirts of the city centre. With llenty of the industrial features still in tact, it's stripped back and raw, making it a firm favourite with hedonistic students and 9-5ers from across the city and beyond.

Upstairs, the Blue Room saw House of Wax DJ's Janson and Olsen set the vibes up nicely for an evening of smooth and deep house jams with a play from Dusky's breezy mix of Cloud 9's 'Don't You Want Me Baby', but as it hit midnight it was time to head back downstairs to The Den for the main event - Jeremy Underground.

As the My Love Is Underground boss treated the beat hungry crowd to full of the finest and freshest rhythms, he perfectly set the tone for the joyous, intimate night ahead. His enthusiasm and energy throughout his set resonated with the crowd as he unleashed a mixture of soulful obscure house cuts including Liem's uplifting 'If Only' (above) and one or two known tracks in the shape of Basement Jaxx's own carnival vibe remix of 'Fly life Extra'.

He sent the room into a frenzy with a rare edit of Masters At Work's sexy 'I Can't No Sleep' and led with pumping techno bangers towards the end of his an extended three hour set with Tronco Traxx's stomping 'Walk For Me' (below) and Night Owl's glitchy remix of Kraftwerk's 'Home Computer'.

To round off the night's mischief, we headed back upstairs to the Blue Room to hear the indulgent offerings of Romare. The Ninja Tune favourite's set featured a strong selection of classic house and disco favourites from the likes of Floorplan's sleazy 'Funky Souls' and Donna Summer's anthemic 'I Feel Love' that got ravers reaching for the ceiling in celebration.

With the party unfortunately grinding to a halt, we left the building itching for our next Hidden fix, but with a host of fierce line ups over the next few months, we can look forward to losing our inhibitions all over again.
