Homoelectric set to take over New Century this New Years Eve

Finish off the year with a flamboyant bang, and join Homoelectric this NYE at New Century, the newly re-opened perfectly preserved 1960s hall. This is not one to be missed!

The people over at Homoelectric are ready and primed to finish off 2022 with a bang, with their newly announced New Year party at the stunningly refurbished New Century in Manchester.

Since 2019, the team at Homoelectric has pushed to create parties where there are no entry requirements, whether you’re hetero, homo, lesbo or don’t know, they strive to make sure there's space for you.

These fundamental values of HomoElectric culminated in one of the most unique parties in the Manchester of 2019, Homobloc. This queer bloc party for all took over Depot Mayfield with only one purpose in mind, to blow the lid off of Manchester and deliver one of the greatest parties that the city had ever seen; anyone who was there knows that they did that and so much more.

Now, in 2022, Homoelectric are back, and with the availability of the iconic New Century to host the year-ending do, it seemed the perfect timing to do something completely different from their normal dark basement back street affair.

The New Century Hall has hosted some very iconic gigs in its time, including Jimi Hendrix, The Stones late night acid house parties from the 80s and the still talked about LCD Sound System / Despacio gig in 2013. But, Homoelectric are here in 2022 to write their own chapter in the sprawling pages of this historic venue, and they want you right alongside them.

The night promises to be the perfect amount of flamboyance and flair, with an amazing lineup of artists and DJs set to create something unforgettable. It will undoubtedly be yet another stunning party full of misfits and queer icons all under the same roof, boogying the night away, and having the time of their lives.
