After another sterling year which saw Funkademia celebrate 20 years on the nightlife circuit, the club night is gearing up to welcome in 2016 with a New Year's Eve party at its spiritual home - Mint Lounge.

Funkademia has earned an impressive accolade over the years, the title of the longest running weekly party in the heart of Manchester's city centre, creating a haven for lovers on funk, soul, disco, reggae and hip-hop.

Along with two new resident DJs, Soul Jam's Jack Tomson and Manchester legend Bucky, Funkademia have enlisted help from a crowd favourite and one of the air waves' finest selectors David Dunne (listen to his mix above) as they toast to a new year.

Mint Lounge was listed in Skiddle's Top 10 Clubs in Manchester as voted for by the public
