For The Locals: We want to cover YOUR favourite underground nights

Most of the biggest parties in the country started as a small idea, a local night, a DIY dream. A hope that a community will resonate with the music and culture you live and breath.  

Nights that provide a home for the sonically disenfranchised.  A space away from the big stage and big lights, into the dimly lit rooms and self-built sound systems. A place to freely express yourself around like-minded ravers, without fear of judgment from the weekend offenders.

We at Skiddle recognise that without such nights there's no scene. And with our new series ‘For The Locals’ want to shine a light away from the big clubs, and onto the local events that rarely feel the support of its lumens. 

And we thought, who better to ask about these nights than YOU!

Skiddle wants your recommendations of the very best local raves and underground club nights that we sell for. The ones blasting tracks out the back of pubs, the ones transforming the dingy basements, the ones spreading the vibes not just for the profit but for the love of the game and the community. 

We will then be heading down to these nights to cover everything their about. Hearing from the young and grassroots promoters about their night, speaking to those at the event and why they love it, and highlighting everything that happens throughout the night as well.

We recently covered the three winners of SOUPs Thursday Night initiative (-140, Homework, and Club Curated) and want to use the coverage as a platform and a foundation to cover all the very best nights of the same ilk, up and down the British Isles.
