Flying Lotus and Thundercat confirmed for Brainfeeder X

Label head Flying Lotus and beloved jazz-funk bass player Thundercat headline a showcase for Brainfeeder Records at O2 Academy Brixton on Saturday 15th December. The event will be the culmination in the UK of a year's worth of special events marking the label's 10th anniversary.

Perhaps currently Los Angeles' most famous and exciting independent record label, Brainfeeder has released some of the most cutting edge funk, hip hop and electronic music of the last decade, including that of Daedelus, Mr Oizo, Samiyam, Martyn, Taylor McFerrin and The Gaslamp Killer. 

In 2015 they also released sprawling Kamasi Washington triple album The Epic, widely considered one of that year's best albums. Outside of America, Brainfeeder is distributed by the UK's Ninja Tune stable. 

On the occasion, the label's main man Flying Lotus will debut a new version of his critically acclaimed audiovisual live show and Thundercat will perform his wonky Sly Stone and Frank Zappa indebted funk soul.

Special guests associated with the Brainfeeder label have been confirmed as Gilles Peterson, Ross From Friends, Lapalux, Iglooghost, Dorian Concept.
