Joining the UK's superbly health festival circuit this year will be brand new EssexFest, a festival designed to bring 'great music, great entertainment and great people' together whilst simultaneously raising money for prostate cancer, a cause we can all get behind.

Ensuring they do things properly, EssexFest has secured a banging line up of dance music and urban luminaries from across the spectrum, making this an unmissable inauguration.

Some of the luminaries getting EssexFest off to the best possible start include Mercury Award winning hip hop and r 'n' b hero Ms Dynamite, junglist legend and original Digital Soundboy Shy FX, and garage mavericks Pied Piper and MC Creed.

With ever corner of dance music being unearthed for the hot two-dayer, those that love their house will be treated to sets from Masters At Work main man Kenny Dope (check out his brilliantly eclectic set above), local Essex lad turned house and disco trailblazer Joey Negro, and the nascent tech house of Leftwing & Kody.

Soulful house, bass and electronic powerhouses Toyboy & Robin join in on proceedings too, with the likes of raw hip hop talent Ghetts, the smooth pop vibes of Charlee Drew, dubstep meets fierce MCing duo M.K.1, and multi-award winning hardcore MC Whizzkid also involved, amongst many more.

Head here to find out the full EssexFest line up. This is already looking like a remarkable two-dayer, made even better by the fact that it will be going someway towards kicking prostate cancer into touch. Grab your EssexFest tickets here.
