Essential Listening: House and Techno

Find Love Yourself (Deeper Love Mix) - Mella Dee

Mella Dee creates techno fused with elements of other genres including house, hardcore, and jungle. And he’s kicking off April with two versions of his newest single released on his own label Warehouse Music imprint. The Deeper Love Mix explores the darker sounds of the house genre with an eerie vocal sample and a slightly unsettling synth progression. It’s clear to see how incredible this track will be in warehouses, clubs, festivals, and beyond.

With a relentless thumping groove, a perfect build, and so many layers to the track, it’s going to be a real treat to catch this live.

Essential Listening: Indie and Alternative

The Snitching Hour - DEADLETTER

Post-punk outfit DEADLETTER dropped The Snitching Hour a few days ago, with a killer catchy hook, horns throughout, an incredible bassline, and a thick Yorkshire accent. The track has a quirky charm, it’s fun, and possesses the “replay” quality where you can listen to it over and over and not get bored.

Managing to sound clean while being a little rough around the edges and energetic all at once, it’s no wonder how the band have earned themselves a great deal of buzz.

Essential Listening: Drum and bass & Jungle

Mosh Pit - Skepsis (feat. Haribo)

This track doesn’t mess about for a single second. No messing about with build-ups, the second the track starts we’re met with a wild energy that perfectly matches the vibe of the track name. Filthy from the get-go, we’re met with crazy percussion, mad sounds, and all the bass. Skepsis has been dropping this track in his sets for a little while now, so now it’s finally dropped and listeners can start learning the lyrics, we’re sure he’ll be met with the same amount of energy he gives out in this track.

Fancy feeling this tune rumble through your skeleton with other ravers? You know what to do…

Essential Listening: Hip-hop & Jazz

Boom Pt. 2 - Mello Buckzz (feat. Latto)

Latto has cemented her place as one of the hardest rappers right now with this new banger with Mello Buckzz. Of course the instrumental is crazy but what really makes this track stand out is the musical chemistry between Latto and Mello Buckzz. There are countless memorable lyrics, their flow is incredible, and the energy is beyond infectious.

You can catch Latto this year at Rolling Loud in Portugal, a hip-hop beach festival with the biggest names and plenty of new talent to keep an eye on. There’s even a lyric about Rolling Loud in the track!
