Lincolnshire weekender Equinox Festival has announced the first 12 acts that will play at its 2017 event. Taking place between Friday 22nd and Sunday 24th September, Equinox is a celebration of the turn of autumn and makes for a spiritual experience with a range of DJs and live acts on hand to soundtrack the party.

The initial line up includes folk punk poet John Otway, best known for his rip roaring 1977 song 'Really Free' (below). In recent years Otway has conquered Glastonbury's Cabaret Tent while on his 60th birthday in 2012 he booked the Odeon Leicester Square to show a documentary about his life.

Joining him on the Equinox Festival 2017 line up are Atterkop, China Shop Bull, Doozer McDooze, The Bar Steward Sons of Val Doonican and heaps more. They will feature across six stages including the pedal powered Grassroots Stage and the solar powered Soundscape Stage - testament to the festival's consideration toward its natural surroundings.
