There's truly no shortage of glitz and glam across the stages of Brighton, but Madam Lola’s is carving out a space of its own in Kemptown with an immersive cabaret experience that unfolds gloriously around you - and doesn't behave either.

Madam Lola’s leans into contrast. It’s intimate but expansive, polished but never too comfortable. Expect velvet booths, elevated cocktails and a rotating cast of performers who build the night into something progressively looser, louder and more unpredictable, moving through the venue and pulling guests into the action until the line between audience and act begins to disappear.

Billing itself as “Brighton’s most beautiful madhouse”, Madam Lola’s brings together drag, burlesque, aerial and circus performers inside a striking 120-capacity space, built beneath a copper dome and an illuminated copper spire, where the space has been reimagined as a performance-led, queer-friendly destination.

Luke Shaw, Co-Founding Director of Madam Lola’s said: “The best nights out are the ones where you’re not entirely sure what’s going to happen next… that’s what we’ve built here. Madam Lola’s isn’t about standing around with a drink, it’s about being pulled into something. If you leave with a story, we’ve done it right.”

Each night is built around a rotating mix of drag, burlesque, aerial and circus performance, with acts appearing throughout the room rather than being confined to one stage. The result is a cabaret that constantly shifts shape, moving from tightly choreographed spectacle to moments that feel spontaneous, intimate and slightly unhinged.

With just 120 people in the room, there’s nowhere to disappear either; the audience becomes part of the atmosphere, and often part of the show itself.

Madam Lola’s cabaret runs every Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 10:30pm, with tickets available through Skiddle.
