Iconic Blue Note Jazz Club to open first UK venue in London

It has been announced that the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club is set to open its first UK venue in London's West End on Wednesday 23rd September. Set to be located in St Martin’s Lane in Covent Garden, the landmark destination opens on what would have been the 100th birthday of jazz titan John Coltrane.

Featuring a 250-capacity main room hosting two nightly performances at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM, the venue will also have a second 100-capacity room, called 'B-Side', designed to spotlight emerging UK talent. The London venue will follow in the footsteps of the venues in New York, Los Angeles, Milan and beyond, offering a contemporary programme as well as surprise performances, all of which will celebrate British talent alongside world-class international artists across jazz and adjacent genres.

Starting off strong, the Blue Note Jazz Club's UK season will kick off with a grand opening headline performance from five-time GRAMMY winner Robert Glasper on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th September. Glasper, who also serves as creative ambassador for the London location, will return for a further seven residency shows throughout November

After that, the Blue Note Jazz Club is set to be stacked with a lineup featuring an eclectic mix of international icons and prominent British acts across jazz, R&B, and hip-hop. Including Erykah Badu, Jamie Cullum, Yussef Dayes, Nubya Garcia, KOKOROKO, Hak Baker, SHABAKA, and The Brand New Heavies. The Blue Note Jazz Club will also offer a contemporary food menu as the location will have dinner throughout the week, as well as signature cocktails on offer.
