Nottingham's favourite electronic music event, Detonate Festival, has just announced a wicked first wave of artists for their 2023 return to the grounds of Nottingham’s Colwick Park. Bringing together 15,000 ravers and more than 60 live artists and DJs, this huge day of partying is a dance music spectacle that never fails to get bodies moving; especially when the lineup is as good as this one is.
The star-studded announcement looks set to make waves and turn many a ravers head this festival season, with acclaimed names like Chase & Status, Barry Can't Swim, Bou, Ewan McVicar, Girls Don't Sync, Holy Goof, Interplanetary Criminal, Kettama, LF System, Mall Grab, Mungos Hi-Fi, Charlie P, Ross From Friends, and many more, all coming together for a day of boogying by the lakeside in Colwick Park. Whilst music is at the forefront of the festival, the day-long party also has some killer things to compliment to groovy beats coming from its speakers. There are floating stages for water top raving and woodland highways to traverse the scenic grounds. There’ll also be global street food to keep you going strong, as well as cocktail bars, firework displays, boat parties on the lake, and even some live street art. Plus, if you fancy treating yourself to some luxuries, there's a VIP island on site that'll cover all your needs.
For 2023’s edition, Detonate are saying that we are set to be treated to a “reimagined” version of the festival. That could mean anything, and we’re absolutely buzzing to find out the deets. Watch this space for updates…
