Defected In The House presents Masters At Work

It seems only right that one of house music's most celebrated labels should invite one of the most vital double teams the genre has ever seen to London superclub Ministry Of Sound on August 9th.

Having started their longstanding creative relationship back in the late eighties, Kenny Dope and Louie Vega have successfully steered dance music down exciting new roads, irreverently incorporating elements of hip hop, funk, disco, Latin, African and jazz into their floor focused works, yielding some of the most forward thinking dance music of all time.

Their vibrant, hip-snapping creations remain pivotal reference points in the modern house world, and it's easy to see why when you check out tracks like their rugged as hell 'It's Cocaine' (above) from back in 1989 - just one of a plethora of their productions that refuses to age.

With their collective DJing experience nearing something like 60 years, the Masters At Work have an unending idea of what it takes to satisfy a dancefloor, taking it in exciting directions whilst keeping the groove throughout (experience that in their appearance at Movement Detroit above).  

They will be joined by Defected mastermind Simon Dunmore - one of the most influential figures in house music, responsible for championing the work of some of the scene's most vital players in his long career.
