Damon Albarn to headline Latitude 2014

Some big festival news for you here, we can reveal that Damon Albarn is the next headline announcement for the ninth edition of Latitude Festival, taking place from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th July 2014. Albarn will make an exclusive festival appearance to directly follow the release of one of the years most eagerly anticipated albums Everyday Robots, his solo LP due in April. 

The show will be his only UK festival appearance, with Albarn no stranger to the festival having appeared there in 2007 as part of his group The Good, The Bad & The Queen. Whether looking at his iconic time with Blur (watch Skiddle favourite 'Charmless Man above) or his myriad of side projects which also include Gorillaz, Mali Music, Monkey: Journey To The West, Dr Dee and Africa Express, Albarn is undoubtedly one of the most important figures in British music in recent times.

Albarn joins other Latitude exclusive performances including Two Door Cinema Club (their first ever festival headline appearance); the mouth watering combination Scandinavian dream team of Röyksopp and Robyn. Other turns come courtesy of sibling stunners Haim, Blues legend Booker T Jones and Billy Bragg.
