Channel 4 is bringing its ‘First For Funny’ comedy showcase to Manchester this September, promising an evening packed with some of the UK's brightest stand-up talent.
Taking place at Aviva Studios, the home of Factory International, the one-night-only event will see established names and rising stars share the stage in a mixed-bill lineup celebrating the breadth of the UK's comedy scene.
Comedian and presenter Chloe Petts will host the show, joined by Jordan Gray, Ayo Adenekan and Josh Jones, with more acts still to be announced.
Designed to introduce audiences to their next favourite comedian, ‘First For Funny’ has built a reputation for spotlighting exciting voices from across the comedy circuit, with each lineup bringing together performers with their own distinctive styles and perspectives.
The event forms part of Scene Festival, Manchester's LGBTQ+ arts and culture festival, which returns with a programme spanning live performance, music, comedy, talks and community events across the city this August.
A British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter will be present throughout the performance, helping make the event accessible to a wider audience.
