Bakermat to hit the UK

If you're looking for the next big thing in the big room, then you won't go far wrong when it comes to Bakermat, who has a number of appearances in the UK lined up this September. 

The Dutchman started experimenting with jazz and blues until becoming hooked on deep house at 18, his passions accelerated at University where he started playing and producing music.

It was only a matter of time until the big guns came knocking, then up stepped Soulmax giving the youthful Lodewijk Fluttert, as his passport denotes him, a platform to release his music. 

The partnership came to fruition after the release of the 'Vandaag EP' which became one of the soundtracks of the summer, with the ethereal 'Zomer' (above) boasting its majestic flute and sax solos which remain a distinct feature of his production.

That was carried into the summer smasher 'One Day' (below), juxtaposing the sax vibe with one of the most distinctive samples in house music history, Martin Luther King's revered "I have a dream" speech, making it a daytime radio smash in no time.

He heads to the O2 Academy Brixton on Saturday 6th September, with Scottish freshers also treated to the star in the making's appearance when he hits Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms on Tuesday 9th September.
