Armin van Buuren has dropped A State Of Trance Year Mix for 2025, marking the 22nd instalment of his long-running and much-loved annual series.
Released on 12th December, the latest year mix lands as a 113-track, impeccably mixed snapshot of the sounds that shaped trance across 2025, "sounds that breathe courage, reinvention, and unshakable energy." Blending uplifting anthems, emotive vocal moments and tougher, tech-leaning cuts into a single, continuous journey.
If you’re a regular ASOT listener and haven’t locked in yet, the 2025 edition is out now. Plus, you can now purchase the full mix on CD too!

Opening with a spoken-word narration from Jon Bon Jovi, A State Of Trance Year Mix 2025 features tracks from Omnia, Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten and Giuseppe Ottaviani, alongside productions from Armin himself, capturing both the emotional and driving ends of the trance spectrum.
Elsewhere, crossover moments and collaborations, including contributions linked to Martin Garrix, KI/KI, Sam Gray and Malou, underline the series’ continued evolution, while tracks such as Set Me Free (Rising Star Remix), Put Your Bassline, Holding The Light, Marama (Moon & Stars) and Missing Part Of Me anchor the mix in some of the year’s standout moments.
More than two decades in, the A State Of Trance Year Mix remains a reliable barometer of where the scene stands, and the 2025 edition shows Armin still finding fresh ways to reflect, reset and move things forward.
