Embodying the extravagance and glam-rock sensibilities of Marc Bolan and the New York Dolls with the lyrical sensibilities of The Smiths and Johnny Beth, Ellis-D creates something uniquely contradictory.
Two self-produced EPs later, the single 'Straightjacket Blues' signified a marked shift, as Ellis-D began exploring new territory with tinges of Krautrock, New Wave and Disco infused sound gaining airplay on Tom Robinson's Radio 6 show, along with support slots with Razorlight in Spring 2023.

Enjoyable Listens - The infamous duo of Luke Duffett and Jay savage built up a fearsome reputation live reputation across London in the last year, however the duo split after a number of sell out shows. Duffett is back and sounding better than ever.
