Originating from Manchester, Tom’s interest in electronic music began at an early age following trips to the Hacienda. In 1997 Tom moved over the Pennines to Leeds to study Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds. Leeds was on the crest of a wave with seminal clubs like Back2Basics and Hard Times leading the way. It wasn’t long before Tom was hooked and started DJing.

Following University, Tom spent 4 summers in Ibiza. Inspired by the music, people and parties of a crazy summer, Tom became influential in developing the foundations of some of the UK’s best parties. In recent years, Tom has run his own party (BackToFront Manchester) and held a solid residency at arguably the UK’s best daytime party, Below Birmingham.

Taking things further, Tom set up his own record label, Illusion Recordings. The label has seen releases some of the best proucers in House/Techno, including, Acid Mondays, Delano Smith, Tomson and previous Blueprint guest Seelie. We’re really excited to hear the output of the label this year and will also be keeping a close eye on sister labels Illusion LTD and Innercircle.
