About

Fashion City York is here to tell the world how great York is for fashion shopping and to support local talent in the industry. See fashion shows and some live window displays ranging from models having afternoon tea, to an underwear model at Browns. There will be some fun and interesting collaborations including ‘whiskey and tailoring’ and male grooming with guitar lessons. There will also be a chance to discover what the best-dressed cyclists are wearing this spring. The Attic Coffee House is hosting a fashion exhibition showcasing young talent whilst City Screen is showing ‘Advanced Style’, a film showing seven unique New Yorkers whose eclectic personal style and vital spirit have guided their approach to ageing. There is also a chance to visit the studios of local designers Harper and Carr. On Sunday HSBC hosts a Fashion Village with a ‘one day only’ opportunity to buy clothing and accessories from local designers and makers. To make the most of the Fashion City York weekend, visit the website www.fashioncityyork.co.uk and take part in the action on social media using #FCY2015.
