About York Dungeon Standard Admission
York Dungeon Standard Admission at York Dungeon takes you through 2,000 years of York’s darker history. The experience brings the city’s murky past to life with live actors, immersive sets and special effects as you encounter scenes and characters from York’s history.
Along the way, you come face to face with the Vikings, learn about their Saxon enemies, and meet notorious figures including Guy Fawkes and the local witch Isabella Billington. The experience also includes the Black Plague and the torture chamber.
It is designed to be an interactive journey through York’s “orrible history, with sights, sounds and smells used as part of the experience.
Key facts: Younger visitors must be aged 5 and over. The York Dungeon is not recommended for under 8s.
