York Dungeon Standard Admission at York Dungeon takes you through 2,000 years of York’s darker history. The experience uses live actors, immersive sets and special effects to bring the city’s murky past to life.

Along the way, you come face to face with Vikings, learn about their Saxon enemies, and meet figures from York’s history including Guy Fawkes and Isabella Billington. The journey also covers the Black Death and a torture chamber, mixing history with live performance.

This is an interactive attraction where you see, hear and smell scenes from York’s past as you move through the experience.
