York Dungeon Standard Admission at York Dungeon takes you through 2,000 years of York’s darker history. The experience brings the city’s past to life with live actors, immersive sets and special effects, with scenes featuring the Vikings, their Saxon enemies, Guy Fawkes and local witch Isabella Billington.

You will move through stories that include the Black Plague and the fearsome torture chamber, with the experience designed to be seen, heard and smelt as you go. It combines history and theatre in a fast-moving walk-through format.
