About York Dungeon Standard Admission

York Dungeon Standard Admission takes you through 2,000 years of York’s darker history at York Dungeon. The experience uses live actors, immersive sets and special effects to bring the city’s past to life, from the Vikings and their Saxon enemies to notorious figures such as Guy Fawkes and the local witch Isabella Billington.

You will also encounter the Black Plague and the fearsome torture chamber as the experience moves through York’s more unsettling stories. It is designed to be a history-themed attraction with performances, effects and scenes that aim to make the city’s past feel immediate.

The experience includes live actors, dark history, immersive sets and special effects.

Before you book

Children must be aged 5 or over. York Dungeon is not recommended for under 8s.
