Winchester Audio Tour: Historic Gems

Explore Winchester at your own pace

Beneath the tranquil veneer of Winchester lies a city paved with the bones of kings and the echoes of bloody rebellions. Ancient stones hold secrets that modern maps simply choose to ignore.

This self-guided audio tour unlocks the forgotten history buried between the Winchester United Church and the towering majesty of Winchester Cathedral. Traverse the shadowed alleys to uncover scandalous political plots and quiet tragedies that most visitors blindly walk past.

Did a desperate king truly surrender his crown under the cover of a freezing midnight? What phantom whisper still haunts the cathedral's subterranean crypt? And why was an entire local merchant guild erased from existence overnight?
