About

Join us on Sunday, the 1st of November, for a night of local independent acoustic music. We have four South Coast artists on the lineup for your listening pleasure. Expect a chilled-out evening celebrating local sing-songwriters.

This event is part of the 'When I grow up I don't want to be anything at all' tour. Celebrating the release of the second album by alternative artist Charlie Smith. The tour seeks to promote local grassroots music, not only by featuring talented musicians but also by fundraising for the music venue trust. Charlie Smith will be donating £1 for every album and T-shirt sale to support the vital work that they do. Thanks in advance for your support.

Charlie Smith

My name might be common, but my style is alternative. I’m Charlie Smith, a singer-songwriter from Romsey, Hampshire. I perform solo and have experience playing and hosting my own independent shows at venues such as The Railway Inn, Flack Manor Brewery, and The Platform Tavern. I am super passionate about grassroots music and regularly participate in action to grow my local scene. Fiercely independent, I record and produce all my music with a true DIY ethos. In April, I hosted six gigs in England as part of my music venue trust fundraiser tour. I managed to fundraise £575, including events in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool & Leicester.

Watching the Buzzards

Watching the Buzzards are a Hampshire based band featuring the sophisticated compositions and bleak, introspective lyrics of Southampton Singer Songwriter Mike Davies. Reminiscent of classic English folk, rock and Americana..

Rosie Jay

Rosie Jay is a folk/rock/indie and alternative professional singer/songeriter. Based in the southwest, she writes her original music and creates haunting and memorable lyrics and riffs that capture the world around her, creating a captivating experience for the audience an evening of walking in her shoes.

Emily Fowler

Emily Fowler is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter. She is a third-year Uni of Winchester Music Student. Her songs are all acoustic and heartfelt, ranging from relationships to country-inspired storytelling, including growing up and moving on. She is inspired by recent singer/songwriters in the industry, hoping to play a song everyone can connect to and enjoy.
