Diary of the Writer's Wife Book Launch and Conversation

Diary of the Writer's Wife is Tamara Forrest-Smith's account of the first twelve months after the death of her husband, writer Alan Forrest Smith.

Moving between school runs, failed driving tests, books, unfinished manuscripts and decisions about how Alan's work would evolve, the diary offers an insider view of the writer's ecosystem after the writer is gone - while Tamara's own work, ideas and life take shape alongside it.

During this intimate literary afternoon, Tamara will talk about:

• Writing from observation and editing real-life material

About Tamara Forrest-Smith

Tamara writes books for other people and publishes selected books. In the two years since Alan died, she has produced the first posthumous stage production of his work, established the Alan Forrest Smith Literary Foundation and, through the Foundation, founded the Altrincham Storytelling Festival, which took place at Oyez Arts this summer, bringing Alan's work together with writers, artists, performers and other creative talent.
