🎙️ RICHARD BLACKWOOD

Stand-up comic, Broadcaster, Actor, Presenter, Inspirational leader Richard Blackwood has been making audiences laugh, think, and feel for more than three decades. A natural entertainer from an early age, he first stepped onto the stand-up stage in 1993 at The Spot in Covent Garden, quickly becoming one of the UK's most recognisable comedy voices. His sharp wit and engaging style saw him tour nationally alongside Geoff Schumann before making the leap to television.

Early TV appearances on The Real McCoy and Blouse and Skirt led to his big break on MTV, co-hosting the flagship show MTV Select with June Sarpong. By 1999, Richard had his own Channel 4 primetime vehicle, The Richard Blackwood Show, blending comedy, celebrity interviews, and live music.

Never one to be confined to a single lane, Richard also pursued music, releasing his debut album You'll Love To Hate This in 2000. Its lead single, Mama (Who Da Man), hit No.3 in the UK charts, cementing him as a crossover talent critics dubbed "South London's answer to Will Smith."

Over the following years Richard built an impressive CV across broadcasting and theatre. He became a household voice on Choice FM (now Capital XTRA), hosted RB's Sunday School, the station's top-rated Sunday show and launched RB Real Talk, a live seminar series tackling community issues and inspiring young people. On stage, he starred in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (West End, 2009) alongside James Earl Jones, and played Donkey in Shrek: The Musical (2011-2013), a role that pushed him into singing and musical theatre at the highest level.

Richard's screen career flourished with a major role in EastEnders (2015-2018) as Vincent Hubbard, and since 2020 he has starred in Hollyoaks as Felix Westwood. Beyond acting, he has used his platform for social good, memorably undergoing a live prostate cancer examination on ITV's This Morning, helping break stigma and raise awareness for men's health. In 2024, Richard celebrated 30 years in stand-up with a sold-out nationwide UK tour, reaffirming his status as one of Britain's most versatile and enduring entertainers. Whether on stage, screen, or radio, Richard Blackwood continues to prove that versatility, longevity, and authenticity are the hallmarks of a true entertainer.

🎙️ CURTIS WALKER

Curtis Walker is 'The Don' of black comedy.

Curtis' hugely appealing style and seemingly effortless talent have ensured he's won over audiences as one of the country's leading stand-ups and actors.

You name it he's been in it -The Real McCoy, Jonathan Ross, They Think It's All Over, Paramount City, Blouse & Skirt, Lenny Henry Show, Ed Stone Is Dead.

As a stand-up, Curtis has performed up and down the country in some of its finest venues (and toilets!). Across the waters, he has made audiences laugh in America, Spain, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Holland and most recently, the Middle East. He performed at the New York Comedy Festival where he went down a storm.

Curtis has been awarded the BICA Best Male Standup and the Top Carlton TV Multicultural Entertainment & Comedy Award. After a standout performance at the Birmingham Symphony Hall, the great Nelson Mandela shook Curtis' hand - twice!

Curtis is also the face behind the NHS Organ Donor Register campaign to which 10 million people have added their names.

🎙️ RUDI LICKWOOD (your host)

Rudi Lickwood, a real legend in the comedy world who exploded onto the stand-up comedy circuit with some of the sharpest one-liners in the business. Although he started as an Eddie Murphy impersonator, he has since become a stand-up comedian with a highly successful and long-established career.

His stand-up accomplishments include being in the 'Black 100+' awards for the greatest Black British Achievers and picking up a Black Entertainment Comedy Award for outstanding contribution to comedy.

Rudi performs at all the major comedy clubs across the UK and has performed at the Glastonbury and Reading festivals.

His TV appearances include The Stand Up Show (ITV), Show me the Funny (ITV), Comic Relief (BBC One), Funny Business (BBC Two) and The Real McCoy (BBC Two).

🎙️ PETER FRANCIS

Peter Francis, affectionately known as 'Special P', is a renowned comedian who has taken the comedy world by storm with his unique style and infectious humor. A regular fixture in premier comedy venues across the UK, his talent extends beyond borders, making him a sought-after performer on the international comedy circuit.

Renowned for his command over the audience, Peter Francis has left his comedic imprint in countries like Germany, Holland, Sweden, and China, marking his international tours since 2006. His comedic prowess has also made waves in the United States, where he is a favorite act for the US Army and the Royal Air Force.

Peter Francis's comedic style is versatile, appealing to a wide range of audiences. Wilson is that cheeky Londoner with a mixture of sharp observations, pin point accents and curveball one liners. Wilson is making a name for himself and is collecting a very impressive gig list across the UK. He is amongst the leading up and coming comedians ones to watch. If you don't follow Wilson on social media we can be sure you've seen him in your feed on one of many social viral clips where he has amassed over a total of 13 million views.

🎙️ VICTOR DANIELS

Victor Daniels started his stand-up career in 1999, he is a seasoned comedian who has written for the Gina Yashere Show and he is the creator, writer and director of the highly successful Hackney Empire show The United Colours of Comedy, which is now being developed by the BBC New Comedy Unit.

His TV credits include; The Gina Yashere Show - BBC, Stand Up And Be Funny (sketch show) - BBC, Angle Le Mar's Big Sister - Various Theatres in London, Alongside; The United Colours of Comedy (written, produced and starred in) - Leicester Square Theatre, Soho Theatre, BBC Roadshow and Hackney Empire - all sell out shows.

🎙️ NADZ

Nadz is a UK-based Palestinian and Irish stand-up comedian and content creator known for sharing real-life experiences, sharp wit, bold & outspoken humor from the perils of dating as someone of dual heritage to body image. She has performed across the UK as well as internationally in North America.

🎙️ NINAJUSSAYIN

is a fast-rising Black British stand-up comedian, content creator, and television personality who built a massive online following through her unfiltered, relatable comedy. Known online by her handle @ninajussayin, she famously transitioned into comedy later in life, proving that it is never too late to reinvent oneself.

Channel 4 Reality Star: Nina expanded her mainstream UK profile by starring in the Channel 4 reality series Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing.

Podcast Guest: Following her reality TV stint, she has appeared as a featured guest on popular programs like the Elephant In The Room Podcast to discuss her sudden rise to fame.

Nina delivers raw, apologetic, and highly relatable commentary focusing heavily on the realities of aging, midlife, mental health, and menopause.

🎧 Music on the night hosted by ROCABALL DJ

Born & raised in West London, he is a multi-talented DJ, Host, Designer & Entertainer. Representing Roc Ure World Entertainment he will be providing the soundscape for the main comedy event and then providing the soundtrack to get you all on the dance floor and party the night away once the comedy show is over into the early hours of Sunday morning!

Rocaball has been DJ'ing since the late 90's to early 2000 & is a a multi genre DJ, who plays decades of music from the 60's to present day. His favourite being the 90's / 00 era whether it being Hip Hop, R&B, Bashment and Jungle - that time was the best time for music for him and is presently loving Amapiano which he has a very big catalogue of.

From time to time Rocaball also makes comedy sketches, which is available on his socials and via @FatLadySingsComedy page. Writing and performing comedy is something he loves and very passionate about, hopefully one day he is hoping to make it back on the big screens but we're trying to get him on a Comedy Fête stage performing with us before hand.
