Faded Reflections: An evening with Jerel Ifil

Faded Reflections: Coming Home marks the official launch of Jerel Ifil’s book Faded Reflections — held at a place that represents an important chapter in his own story.

Returning to the stadium where he once played professionally and where he is now recognised in the Hall of Fame, Jerel comes back not as a footballer, but as an author.

Faded Reflections is a deeply personal collection exploring identity, experience, growth and the moments that shape who we become. Through poetry and reflection, Jerel looks beyond the person the world sees and into the experiences, questions and perspectives that often remain beneath the surface.

Coming Home will be an evening of poetry, conversation and reflection, giving guests an opportunity to hear selected pieces from the book, discover the stories and thinking behind the words, and explore Jerel’s journey from professional football to mentoring, writing and helping others understand their own stories.

There will also be an opportunity to purchase copies of Faded Reflections and have them personally signed by Jerel.
