It was way over priced and it was so expensive in side for the extras and my daughter was so disappointed and so was I we came all the way from Oxford and paid alot to go as well

Review of GirlyPop Live Xmas | MECA, Swindon

Poor food choice at venue, they were out of pizzas and only had plain hot dogs (ran out of sauce) 
Considering this is aimed at children and you are there for a long time. Also stating you cant bring food in!!

The staging, and entertainment was phenomenal. It was like being at a mini festival. My son and his friends really enjoyed the show. My son asks do you do a BoyPop because he loves live music and he's a swiftie but he was embarrassed going to an event called Girlie pop, he however has told me he'd go again. He said Chapell Roan and Taylor Swift were his favourites. But asks if you could maybe get band tributes like  Panic at the Disco and Imagine Dragons so his male friends would want to go too. 

Unfortunately there was NO STREET FOOD at the venue. I felt bad for the MECA staff that were getting the brunt of the complaints which was a shame because they were doing their best to come up with food, they ordered massive amounts of dominos and did hot dogs and crisps at the bar. It would be interesting to know why the street food didn't arrive? Because we were looking forward to that. And no snow machine as seen in the adverts. However the tributes all wore festive outfits. 

Our kids had an absolute blast, could have done with some seating downstairs , the access seating wasn't big enough. Once you had a couple of wheelchairs in the seats were all blocked, so even though the area wasn't full, only a few seats were accessible. It could have done with being made slightly bigger with access both sites of the chairs. I should have really had a seat for the event due to my condition but gave them to people who needed it more.

Another mini moan was you need to operate a cloakroom. It's winter people are coming in in massive coats, hoodies and layers, these were being dumped on the dance floor, or underneath tables, but they were a trip hazard and getting sticky with drinks being dropped on them.

Also the 360 machine was put away early. By the time we had rounded up the kids and fed them after the 3rd act it was gone.

However the kids loved it, and if this was a "bad experience" I'd love to see this event when everything is running smoothly. Because it definitely has potential to be even more incredible.

What an amazing show! We had a super time and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Book it, you wont regret it!

Can't fault the event, music and entertainment great. My little girls' first live music experience!

Out of pizza

Singers were good and great song selection that the children knew. The venue was good and not too busy. Could access toilets, bars and merchandise stalls easily. Needed seating and food! It should not advertise food if there isn't any, as we had to leave venue to get some lunch and missed one act entirely.

Great venue, very helpful staff, clean toilets, no que even in between acts, reasonable prices for drinks and snacks, good disabled seating area at front to the side, able see well. Fun Day, kids loved it
