Art in the Underpass: 10cc Artwork Reveal, Walking Tour & Talk

Stockport Music Story is hosting a special event to unveil our new 10cc artwork in Stockport Station Underpass.

The artwork has been created by local artist Vivian Lally and is the latest addition to the Stockport Music Story Art Gallery that has proven so successful since it was launched in March this year.

The art exhibition was made possible with the kind support of Avanti West Coast and South East Manchester and Crewe to Manchester Community Rail Partnerships, who are also supporting this series of special walking tours and talks over the next six months centred around the artworks on display.

Meeting at 11am in the main foyer of Stockport Station, your tour guide John will take you on a tour through the artworks of the Underpass culminating with the reveal of the new 10cc artwork by Vivian Lally.

Our special guest will be Dr Peter Wadsworth, the archivist of Strawberry Studios and co-author of the definitive book 'Strawberry Studios Forever' with Strawberry founder Peter Tattersall.

The 10cc talk with John and Peter will take place in the conference room on Platform 3 where complimentary refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits will be available. Please note that numbers are limited due to seating space.

Please allow two and a half hours for this event which is scheduled to finish at 1.30pm. Stockport Music Story will have art prints for sale at the event with artist Vivian Lally available to sign her 10cc print and there will be copies of the limited edition Strawberry Studios Forever red vinyl album, signed book and T-shirts on sale.

This event has been supported by Avanti West Coast and South East Manchester and Crewe to Manchester Community Rail Partnerships. All proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to Stockport Station's nominated charity Mentell, the local men's mental health charity.
