Quiz Dating (Ages 35-45)

Quiz Dating is a brand new singles night.  On the night you'll take part in 'The Live Music Pub Quiz', which is a popular team quiz at 10 venues across Greater Manchester, including this venue: Red Lion in Cheadle.

This second event on 14th January 7pm will be for singles aged 35 - 45, the first event will be on 7th January 7pm for singles aged 25 - 35 and will be on a separate Skiddle page.

Upon arrival at 7pm, you'll be put in a team to start the game.For the first round, you'll be in single sex teams.  For the rest of the event, you'll be in a mixed team with equal number of girls and guys.This event is designed as a ‘straight’ event with LGBTQ+ events planned for later in the year.

Each round will have different genres and decades of music.  Sometimes you'll need to know the artist, song title, year or lyric.  There will be mashups, missing links, TV themes etc... it will be a real roller coaster!

Once you get into your team, your quiz host and professional musician Paul Bytheway will play the first question live.  It will be nostalgic, funny, danceable and it will always be fun!  Answer a question and it might just spark a conversation with a cool looking guy/girl across the table.... your eyes meet..... and it's clearly the wrong answer!!!Ha!Never mind!!At least it got you talking!

When the round ends, you make a note of your score for the round and anyone you got on well with!  Then you move to a different team and meet a new group of people.  The format of the quiz removes the typically awkward 1-to-1 conversations of traditional speed dating, as you're always part of a team. 

At the end of the night, we will find out which player has won the quiz. Then everyone will hand their cards in with the list of anyone they'd like to share their contact details with. Here, you can decide if you want your details to be shared only if they also chose you, or regardless of who matched with you, totally your call.

The fast pace of the evening means you'll meet lots of people, but always in a group. If you don't meet anyone you like, at least you'll have had fun at the live music pub quiz! Just play the game and see what happens!
