AMD x IRM: Susannah Stark + Otis Jordan & Sam McLoughlin

A Midnight Detour and Inner Rhythm Mysticism join forces to host an intimate evening of live folk and experimental music in Stockport.

Susannah Stark is a Scottish singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist whose work moves between folk, ambient and experimental sound. Singing in both Gàidhlig and English, she combines voice, field recordings and sparse instrumentation to explore landscape, memory and mythology. Her music sits between tradition and abstraction, shaped by a palette of obscure textures. Her latest album, Minor Gestures, released collaboratively by Stroom and Night School Records in October last year, is her most accomplished and expansive work to date. We are very excited to welcome her to play and bring her immersive and detailed world to Stockport.

Fresh off the back of their recent collaborative release Harkness, we will also be joined by Otis Jordan & Sam McLoughlin. Both artists have an extensive back catalogue of music which is centred around psychedelic-folk, home-made instruments, and unique folk-infused storytelling - making them the perfect opener to the evening.

AMD and IRM Residents will provide the evening's soundtrack and visuals with doors open at 19:00 and performances starting around 20:00.
