Freak Queer Hike 🌿
Save the date: Saturday 22nd August
The weekend before Manchester Pride, we’re heading out to the beautiful Goyt Valley for a day of fresh air, good company, and a walk through nature.
Whether you’re coming solo or with friends, it’s a chance to meet new people, spend time outdoors, and connect with community before Pride weekend begins.
The hike is completely free to join. If you’d like, there will also be an opportunity to make a small donation to support LGBTQ+ charities doing incredible work across Manchester and the UK.
The Route
We’ll be exploring the area around Errwood Reservoir and following the Goyt Valley Hill Circular.
This is a moderate hike, expected to take around 2–3 hours, with plenty to enjoy along the way, including wildflowers, local wildlife, woodland trails, and stunning Peak District views. We’ll also stop for lunch at the ruins of Errwood Hall.
More information, including meeting point, travel options, and timings, will be shared soon.
