The weekend before Manchester Pride, we’re swapping the dancefloor for the outdoors and heading to the beautiful Goyt Valley for a day of fresh air, good company and queer community.

Whether you’re coming solo or with friends, everyone is welcome. It’s a chance to meet new people, spend some time in nature and connect with the community before the madness of Pride weekend begins.

The hike is completely free to join. We’ll also be collecting optional donations for LGBTQ+ charities doing important work across Manchester and the UK.

THE PLAN

11:30am — Meet up

We’ll give everyone a little time to arrive, say hello and get ready.

12:00pm — Hike begins

Around 1:00pm — Lunch at Errwood Hall ruins

Bring some lunch, snacks and something to drink. We’ll stop here for a break before continuing the walk.

Around 2:30pm — Finish

THE HIKE

We’ll be following the Goyt Valley Hill Circular, exploring the area around Errwood Reservoir.

It’s a moderate hike of around 2–3 hours, taking us through woodland trails and open countryside, with wildflowers, wildlife and some beautiful Peak District views along the way.

We’ll share the exact meeting point and final travel information before the hike.

If you’re driving and have space in your car — or if you need a lift — let us know so we can try to connect people travelling from Manchester.
