Back Doune the Rabbit Hole takes place Friday 17th - Sunday 19th July 2026.

Back Doune the Rabbit Hole is held at Cardross Estate in Stirling.

No, Back Doune the Rabbit Hole is a family friendly festival so all ages are welcome.

Yes. Dogs are welcome at Back Doune the Rabbit Hole but must be kept on a lead at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs and disposing of waste properly. For their welfare, please do not keep dogs close to the stages during long periods of loud music, and take weather conditions into account before bringing them. Dogs must never be left unattended in vehicles during hot weather. Water points will be available throughout the arena and campsites for filling dog bowls.

Folding chairs, blankets, etc, can be brought into Back Doune the Rabbit Hole to use outdoors.  If using a folding chair please don't locate them near the front of the stage for safety reasons as this is the area where people stand. It is requested that walkways are kept clear in the tents and these are located towards the back of the tents. Unattended chairs will be removed by security.

Back Doune the Rabbit Hole campers can bring personal food and drink onto the site for consumption by campers in the camp site only.

Free drinking water will be provided so you can bring in an empty reusable plastic or aluminium bottle for refills.

NO GLASS or metal utensils are allowed anywhere on site due to Health & Safety restrictions.

Items Prohibited from all Areas of Back Doune the Rabbit Hole:

Aerosols over 500ml, Air horns, Fireworks, Flares, Glass of any sort, Illegal Substances, Drugs, “Legal Highs” (as covered by PS16 Legislation or as otherwise determined by Security, including, for clarification, Nitrous Oxide), Unidentified Substances, Any Other Illegal Item, Laser Equipment, Laser Pens, Megaphones or any other item designed specifically to amplify sound, Chinese Lanterns or similar items, Petrol Burners, Sound Systems or Other Speakers, Tabards or other items of high visibility.

Items Prohibited from the Arena but Permitted within the Campsite:

Bags larger than an A4 size, Bags or other Carriage Items which cannot be fully searched or split to allow searching, Alcohol of any kind, Camping Equipment including any type of cooking equipment, Any drink in a container capable of holding more than 500ml or any drink where the seal applied by the manufacturer has been broken.

Right to Refuse Possession:

The organisers of Back Doune the Rabbit Hole, in line with their belief that safety of the overall event and its attendees should be prioritised above the convenience or wishes of any one person, reserve the right for any representative, including but not limited to any authorised security personnel, to refuse permission to any person access to the event or any area within that event while in possession of any item which they or their representative deem to be unsafe, undesirable or unwelcome in any way.  The decision of management in this respect is final and there is no recourse, other than the consumers’ statutory rights, which are respected throughout.

The Back Doune the Rabbit hole campsite and campervan fields officially open on Friday the 17th of July at 10 AM. You can arrive on Thursday the 16th of July from 4 PM if you’ve purchased a campers party ticket.

Back Doune the Rabbit Hole have set aside a small area of the camping field specifically for families. It’s available on a first come, first served basis, and our onsite stewards will direct you there when you arrive.

Facilities at Back Doune the Rabbit Hole will include:

• 24/7 security
• Toilets, showers (£3 per shower) and drinking water supplies
• ELSAN waste disposal point
• There will be 4 main camping sections, all within easy walk of the music arena. These include camping areas for: Motorhomes and Caravans; Tent Camping area plus secure Car parking area; Glamping.
• There is an Accessible Camping Section which can be booked for those with mobility issues.

Open fires aren’t allowed at Back Doune the Rabbit Hole.

Barbecues are fine, but they need to be at least 3m away from any vehicle, tent, structure or hedge, and must not be used after dusk.

Small personal cooking stoves are permitted, including meth stoves, Trangias, gel fuel, Greenheat Basecamp cookers and firelighter stoves. Fuel is limited to 1L per stove.

For everyone’s safety, cars aren’t parked next to tents at Back Doune the Rabbit Hole. This keeps clear access routes through the campsite and avoids vehicles moving between occupied areas. There’s a dedicated car park close to the camping fields, so you won’t be far from your set up.

Yes. Happy Bus will be running a daily shuttle bus from Stirling to the Back Doune The Rabbit Hole site.

Organisers will strive to do all they can to make Back Doune the Rabbit Hole as accessible as possible. As with any outdoor event, weather conditions and uneven ground in parts, on a grassed site, need to be taken into consideration, when using a wheelchair or mobility scooter, and for wet weather conditions, suitable clothing, footwear, etc, is recommended.

There will also be a dedicated viewing area for wheelchair users to view the event though it does have a limited capacity and will be on a first come, first served basis, exclusively for wheelchair users and one companion.

To obtain access to these facilities, you will need to contact the team at access@backdounetherabbithole.co.uk to ask for an Accessibility Questionnaire which is used to help determine exactly which areas are needed to enhance your experience.

To help us process these requests smoothly, please ensure you have got in touch no later than 2 weeks before the event (Friday 2nd July 2026). They will endeavour to process any requests received after this date leading up to the event but can’t guarantee availability.

Accessibility facilities are designed to support those with long-term access requirements.

Back Doune The Rabbit Hole organisers are not able to offer closer parking, reserved camping, or assistance getting on or around the site for temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing injuries, or pregnancy.
