About

a traditonal brick-built pub, sat by the kiveton park railway level crossing. the place had been getting a bit run down, and closed recently for re-furb. it is now open as a "freehouse" and is run by the landlord from the Midland pub at Killamarsh. *** the pub has a fair sized car park to the rear, with outdoor smoking area. inside, the central bar serves a public bar and lounge. the bar has darts, pool table & plasma tv. the larger lounge is split into 2 areas, and used mostly for dining. seating for about 60-70. whilst there is a low population locally, the place seems quite popular with visitors, and there were many diners on the saturday evening we called. ***
