Both bands are travelling from London and further south to spend the afternoon playing music for you. Let me introduce them to you:
WOULD-BE-GOODS
Since The Camera Loves Me, their 1988 debut for the legendary él Records, Would-be-goods have trodden a unique musical path, slipping between classic 1960s pop and more unusual influences - French chanson, music hall, 1930s dance bands, and garage rhythm & blues.
Their latest album Tears Before Bedtime on Skep Wax was recorded in London with Jessica Griffin on guitar and vocals, Peter Momtchiloff (Heavenly) on guitar, Debbie Greensmith (Thee Headcoatees et al) on drums, and cult figure Andy Warren (Adam and the Ants, the Monochrome Set) on bass.
RAILCARD
Railcard is an indiepop band formed in 2025 by Rachel Love (Dolly Mixture) , Ian Button (Heavenly, Papernut Cambridge, Swansea Sound etc) and Peter Momtchiloff (Heavenly, Would-be-goods), who were all born within weeks of each other in 1962. They were joined later by trumpet player Allison Thomson, to create a modern gentle dreampop sound. They are touring their first full length LP out on Skep Wax in September.
