Helena’s Ball is a charity ball raising funds on behalf of Alzheimer's Society on Saturday 26th October 2013 at the Double Tree by Hilton Sheffield Park Hotel. Alzheimer’s disease is the main form of dementia, affecting 1 in 3 people, one in fifty of whom are between 30-40 years old. Alzheimer’s Society have been tackling dementia head on with research into cures and providing support not only to the sufferers, but their carers too. The evening will begin at 7pm with reception drinks, a three course dinner followed by the charity auction with BBC Radio's own Steve Massam. Live comedy will be performed by Mr Lee Lard, the world's leading Peter Kay Tribute Act, followed by disco. Auction and raffle prizes include weekend hotel and spa breaks, 1 week’s accommodation in Tenerife, Spain, Art Pieces, Glass or Scent making workshops, Golf prizes and many more... Raffle tickets will also be available on the night. I hope you and your friends will join us raising funds for such a worthy cause!
