DEERFACE is the musical project of Australian-Welsh artist Sophie James. It is all about contrast, ancient and futuristic, concrete and vines, fae and cyborg.

Sophie has always made music and visual art, but DEERFACE was borne from a desire to create a more personal sound and mythos that attempts to combine her seemingly opposing passions and interests, a meeting point between her love of technology, sci-fi and gaming, and her Celtic roots, folklore and spiritual connection to nature.

DEERFACE's sound combines organic instrumentation and natural sounds with unapologetically digital synths to create a hybrid of ethereal, industrial and dark folk pop.
