Wines and Cheese from the South of Italy!
An Italian tour into the deep south of Italy and the regions of Puglia, Campania, Basilicata, and the islands such as Sicily and Sardinia.
The wonderful well-structured Aglianico grape is found in the south producing famous high-quality wines such as Taurasi, whilst Primitivo (related to Zinfandel) makes juicy and ripe affordable reds from Puglia.
Sicily's fine examples are Fiano, Catarrato, and Nero d'Avola whilst Sardinia is thriving with refreshing varieties such as Vermentino.
This is truly an area of the wine world that needs plenty of attention through tasting!
This evening is suitable for all levels of wine knowledge!
This event will include tasting samples of six carefully selected wines, paired with local cheeses, wine notes & handouts, and a 2-hour interactive presentation, with Q&A, led by our wine tutor.
