After years away, the legendary Reading club night is back.
We’re proud to welcome Friend Within to headline. Liverpool’s Lee Mortimer started out anonymously in 2013, with debut EPs on Dirtybird and Hypercolour, and has since become one of the most respected names in UK house. He helped shape the deep house sound alongside Disclosure, who released his classic ‘The Renegade’. He’s remixed John Legend and London Grammar, landed a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix made up entirely of his own tracks, and played everywhere from Fabric and Warehouse Project to Creamfields, Amnesia and Glastonbury’s Arcadia stage. His debut album ‘Hope’ came out on Toolroom.
Our residents are with him all night:
Rob Savage (SAViSTO) ran Breakin Even from 2001 to 2008 and is back behind the decks. He’s done two world tours and played fabric, Ministry of Sound and Glastonbury. His deep, minimal SAViSTO project keeps hitting the Traxsource charts, with support from Jamie Jones, Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati and Friend Within himself.
Loz Brazil is a Breakin Even resident and an original from the club’s early days.
MC Ronnie Black is on the mic.
Expect a night of quality underground house music and a great atmosphere. It’s good to be back.
