The Lancashire Festival 2026
Preston’s much-loved Lancashire Festival will return this summer for a very special edition, celebrating its 10th anniversary since the very first festival in 2016. Taking place at Miller Park, the festival marks a decade of community, creativity, and family-friendly entertainment in the heart of the city.
Since its humble beginnings, the Lancashire Festival has grown into a firm favourite in the region’s cultural calendar, welcoming thousands of attendees over the years. Now entering its tenth year, the festival promises a celebratory day packed with live music, vibrant performances, and interactive activities for all ages — while staying true to its original mission of being accessible, inclusive, and community-led.
With affordable entry priced at just £5, the festival ensures families and individuals can enjoy a full day of entertainment without breaking the bank. In keeping with its long-standing commitment to inclusivity, a significant number of free tickets will once again be donated to local community groups and individuals experiencing financial hardship, ensuring the festival remains open to everyone.
The 10th anniversary programme will showcase a diverse lineup of local and regional talent, celebrating the artists, performers, and creatives who have helped shape the festival over the past decade. Live music will run throughout the day, alongside eye-catching walkabout performances, circus acts, and interactive workshops designed to inspire creativity and participation.
Returning festival favourites will be joined by new performers, with entertainment including aerial circus displays, street theatre, and hands-on circus skills workshops. Family activities and creative sessions will also feature throughout the park, reinforcing the festival’s focus on learning, play, and shared experiences across generations.
The festival continues to operate with minimal external funding or council support, relying largely on ticket sales, trader pitch fees, sponsorships, and the dedication of volunteers. As the event celebrates ten years, organisers are calling on local businesses, sponsors, performers, and community members to get involved and help ensure the festival continues for many years to come.
The Lancashire Festival is organised by Joshua Holden of Wolf Entertainments, a well-known entertainer and circus performer based in Preston, who has spent years supporting local talent through regular family workshops and performance opportunities across Lancashire. Speaking ahead of the anniversary event, Joshua said:
“It’s incredibly special to be celebrating ten years of the Lancashire Festival. What started as a small community event back in 2016 has grown beyond anything we could have imagined. The support from the local community over the years has been overwhelming, and this anniversary event is a real celebration of everyone who has been part of that journey.”
“We’ve always believed that everyone deserves access to arts, culture, and fun, regardless of background or income. That value has guided the festival from day one, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for a truly memorable anniversary celebration.”
Further announcements, including performers, activities, and sponsors, will be revealed in the coming months.
