Review of Adele - The Candlelight Concert - Portsmouth Cathedral

Extremely Misleading Experience

I attended the Enchanted Concert in Portsmouth. Unfortunately, the event was nothing like what was advertised. The promotional photos and description suggested a classical candlelight concert with instrumental performances. Instead, it turned out to be a singing performance by "princesses," which was never made clear at the time of booking.

I felt incredibly embarrassed, especially because I had bought the tick*ts as a special experience for my boyfriend. We travelled from outside Portsmouth specifically for this event and spent a significant amount of money on what we believed would be a classical music evening. Instead, we were left disappointed and uncomfortable.

Even the staff member from Xperience Live noticed our reaction and advised us to request a refund because the advertising had been misleading. We haven't received any compensation as they said that the everything was clear. 

I hope the organisers improve the clarity of their event descriptions and mark*ting so no one else has the same experience as I had. If not please bear in mind that it's NOT a classical instrument music concert with beautiful candlelight and atmosphere which you will expected.

Review of Enchanted - The Ultimate Princess Concert

The sort of entertainment you would expect in a 2/3* holiday show. Not what I was expecting at all. And, we couldn't see the 'stage' from our seating but accept that is always a problem when you are only 5' in height.

Review of Christmas - The Candlelight Concert

I was very disappointed in this evening. It was very Americanised in the way it was presented. The candlelight was electric and didn't make any sort of impact. The cathedral was very cold and draughty. I believe the musicians were very skilled and enjoyed the solo performances. The singers all had nice voices, but some of the songs were very screechy and the sound system was not adjusted properly as it was difficult to hear the male voices clearly in most of the songs. The best piece was Silent Night sung a Capella. I wouldn't attend another and certainly wouldn't recommend to anybody. At £50 per seat I expected som**hing better.

It was a lovely evening, the musicians and the singers were great, and the choice of songs, fabulous, had everyone on their feet by the end.

What a great evening, I loved the smiles on the singers and band members faces and they created a magical atmosphere

It started off slow and at the break quite a few people left ! I thought it was not good value for money and two of the singers seemed to be out of tune. I would not recommend the show to family or friends especially at the price was too high !

What a great evening, left with a fantastic festive buzz. The music was excellent
